Furniture Maker School – Shaping the future of the furniture industry

The ukrainian furniture industry faces a significant shortage of skilled workers. To address this challenge, the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers, with the support of the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine, launched the Furniture Maker School project.

 

Project Goals

  • Train specialists in a short period (2–4 weeks)
  • Provide enterprises with qualified personnel
  • Promote the profession

 

Achievements

  • Three training cohorts have been conducted.
  • A total of 295 individuals have successfully completed their training.

Future Plans

The next training cohort is planned, focusing on furniture assemblers, furniture designers, and machine operators, with further scaling of the project through online formats.
