1. Ukrainian furniture manufacturers once again proved and demonstrated their indomitability by taking part in the exhibition Meble Polska 2023. The national stand of Furniture of Ukraine looked especially powerful and inspiring against the background of the difficult economic situation in the European market, due to which some of the companies, traditionally active exhibitors of the furniture industry, announced the refusal to participate in this year’s exhibitions.<\/p>\n
2. The government approved the strategy for the development of industrial parks for 2023-2030. In the next three years, the state will help arrange infrastructure for 25 industrial parks. Due to the development of industrial parks, Ukraine can receive 2.5 billion dollars of additional investments.<\/p>\n

A strategic session was held at the Lviv City Hall with the participation of entrepreneurs specializing in the manufacture of furniture, teachers of specialized educational institutions and employees of structural units of the City Council. They outlined the challenges that faced the furniture industry during the war and worked out ways to solve them. In addition, they agreed on the creation of a furniture cluster in Lviv.<\/p>\n

Eight Ukrainian clusters have passed the competitive selection and have the opportunity to receive grants of up to 25,000 euros each for systemic support and the development of entrepreneurship in Ukraine. Among them is the metropolitan public union “Ukrainian Woodhouse Cluster”, which united Ukrainian manufacturers of wooden houses. Well, furniture makers will also have more work.<\/p>\n
5. The Ministry of Economy has prepared a draft law on improving state market supervision of Internet trade and other methods of distance trade in order to protect participants from unfair competition during online sales.<\/p>\n

7. The blocking of tax invoices has become so massive that in December of last year, about half of bona fide Ukrainian businesses had problems with the Tax Service. It is proposed: in order to completely remove the conditions for corruption with tax invoices, it is necessary to make automatic unlocking.<\/p>\n
8. Cambridge University published the results of an experiment with a reduced working week in companies in Great Britain. For six months, they worked four days a week, the total time did not exceed 32 working hours. After the end of the experiment, 92% of the companies decided to continue working this way.<\/p>\n

The world-renowned manufacturer of furniture accessories H\u00e4fele Group reported that in less than three weeks it managed to recover from a cyberattack on the company in early February and became available to customers again. The company started accepting and delivering orders. Production at the H\u00e4fele Group plants has also been resumed.<\/p>\n

Due to European sanctions on the import of furniture from Russia to the EU countries, Russian manufacturers lost about 18 billion rubles a year, and the export of these products fell by almost 40%, according to the local industry association. The statistics of the total export revenue were negatively affected in many ways by the closing of the Russian business by the Swedish “IKEA”.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
