The capital company Magitex<\/a> is particularly interesting in that it is one of the youngest members of our association in terms of time of joining the UAFM (January of this year). And because it has a rather distant, indirect relation to woodworking and furniture in particular, because it does not deal with furniture fabrics, but sews bed linen, clothes, blankets, pillows, towels, sheets, blankets, etc. This was the beginning of our conversation with the co-owner of the company Nataliya Kichenko.<\/p>\n

– First of all, I want to disagree with the statement about our “rather remote” relationship to furniture, and I will definitely be supported in this primarily by bed manufacturers, because without equipping their furniture with our products, the bed cannot acquire its immediate functional purpose. Secondly, it was the fact of our close partnership with one of the manufacturers of the beds that we supplied with bedding that became decisive in our decision to acquire membership in UAM. Actually, he brought us to the association, because we really had no plans for it before. We replenished your industry fraternity, of course, with the desire that the mentioned case of a close partnership with a furniture manufacturer would not remain the only one.<\/em><\/p>\n

Furniture retail also needs our products, because beds are usually put up for sale complete with bed linen, which furniture stores also sell. Hotels also buy our products, so we can work in a business partnership with designers and furniture makers who comprehensively furnish such objects.<\/em><\/p>\n

We also learned from Mrs. Natalya that the production specifics of the company are such that at the beginning of the war, it could not stay out of helping both the army and the emigrants with its products (in particular, cotton mattresses). And until now, from time to time, as far as possible, he does not refuse such a good deed.<\/p>\n

The company is one of the few members of the association that did not miss the fate of industrial migrants. They relocated part of their warehouse and sewing equipment to Vinnytsia, but everything was returned “home” in the summer. It was possible to save the entire team, but it was necessary not only to reach pre-war production volumes, but also to develop. Even before the war, they began to expand the sewing industry, despite the war, they decided to finish the business of developing the company.<\/p>\n

The specificity of the company’s products is such that, unlike furniture makers, it can more easily and quickly update its range – both with new models of existing products and, in general, with new types of products. Given the fact that the company focuses on wholesale sales of products.<\/p>\n

– Maybe even this month we will bring to the market a collection of products of the so-called patriotic series, the design of which will correspond to the indomitable spirit of the nation in these difficult times of testing, will distinguish and emphasize our Ukrainianness. In this way, we strive with our products to contribute to what the country is currently living, which is important for society, which inspires it to be indomitable.<\/em><\/p>\n

– Recently, the company announced a spring promotion, which provides 50 percent discounts on some textile products. Are you not too generous for the present time?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– Maybe. After all, it is necessary to quickly sell off the remnants of some collections so that they free up trading space for new products. So there is nothing exceptional about it.<\/em><\/p>\n

– Since the domestic market has noticeably “shrunk” due to the war in the country, many companies seek to compensate for internal losses by entering foreign markets. For this purpose, they intensified their participation in international exhibitions. The last time your company participated in the 2020 international profile exhibition. Don’t you have such a need now?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– Exhibitions are also an important and effective marketing tool for us, so we were regularly their exhibitors before the war. Last year – it’s no secret – it was really not good for exhibitions, but in a peaceful future we will definitely resume exhibition activities.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\t\t
