– I know that our company after the war will definitely not be the same as it was before the beginning of the Russian aggression, – Oleksandr Zakharchuk says confidently. – She is no longer like that: assessments, approaches to everything and everyone have changed. It is impossible to prepare for war, but you need to learn to live in the conditions of war quickly and confidently, so that it does not prevail over you.<\/em><\/p>\n

And how gloriously the year 2022 began for the company – optimistic, promising! In January, they completed the launch of a full cycle of their own furniture production. That is, they could already independently do what they previously turned to contractors for. During the year, it was planned to scale the company to the whole country and launch a standard series of furniture. The war could not help making adjustments to such ambitious plans, but it could not completely erase them.<\/em><\/p>\n

– And what, despite the war, did the company manage to achieve last year – the most difficult for the country’s economy, for its furniture market?<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– Despite two months of complete downtime, the company was able to resume work quickly. Firstly, thanks to the Armed Forces, who drove the enemy away from the capital. Secondly, thanks to the team, which, having overcome the fears of uncertainty that still prevailed, went to work.<\/em><\/p>\n

I remember my feelings in those days. April, rain, gloomy capital, the streets are practically deserted. “Does anyone need the furniture we’re going to make right now?” – caught himself thinking, which he stubbornly pushed away, going to work. I understood the great responsibility before the team – people need to work in order to live. If we can’t get the factory working now, then there may not be such an opportunity anymore, because we might lose the team. And if someone is not with us now, it is those who took up arms and defend the peaceful work of their colleagues.<\/em><\/p>\n

The company’s flexible production policy helped a lot then. The fact that we can produce home furniture in various price segments, as well as commercial furniture for various purposes. New orders began to arrive already in May. And in the summer, there were already enough of them to almost fully load production. In the autumn, it became clear: if we continue to develop at such a pace, we will not have time to process customer requests with our existing forces. So, it is necessary to replenish the staff of managers.<\/em><\/p>\n

But the war once again stood in the way of our plans. Regular shelling of the capital began, blackouts, and customer activity declined. But this time too, the company opposed the war with its coherence, the ability to quickly and effectively get out of difficult situations. It took some time to provide production with alternative power sources, because of this there were some delays in the fulfillment of customer orders, but customers accepted such delays with understanding.<\/em><\/p>\n

Summarizing the last year, we will have the fact that we managed to open a new showroom in the “Epicentr” shopping center, started to sell our products in Europe and aim for even more active exports. And the fact that we managed to save the company is a big – and perhaps the most important – achievement for us.<\/em><\/p>\n

– But export has not yet become a priority in the company’s activities?<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– For now, we are more focused on the domestic market, which, thanks to the heroic efforts of front-line workers and energy workers, is beginning to revive noticeably. We have export, but it has not yet acquired a systemic character, and we are confidently moving towards foreign economic systematization, realizing that export sales for any domestic manufacturer is not only an image factor, but also a wide way for its development.<\/em><\/p>\n

– And perhaps it is too early to talk about more distant prospects?<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– Why? I can already say that this year we will continue the optimization of production and management processes in the company, the introduction of online sales of furniture of the standard line. We are planning to revive the activities of our university in training designers and managers for our own needs. There are plans to open another showroom for upholstered furniture and to expand our showroom on Vaclav Havel.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\t\t
