Even in these challenging times for the country, its economy, and private businesses due to the start of the Russian invasion, the company continues to adhere to its high standards of customer service. Although there was a period, albeit brief when the company ceased its supply activities. This is what the co-owner of the company, Mykhailo Opanasenko, shared about it.<\/p>\n

– The employees, worried and confused, still came to work that tragic morning, but they couldn’t start working. I gathered them and told them that now it was more important to secure their families. Only by the end of March – the beginning of April, when there was a turning point in the war in our favour, and the enemy retreated from the capital, a larger number of employees were ready to resume work, especially since our managers started receiving requests from clients in March – both those who, like us, had a forced pause and those who were able to continue their production. For me personally, as a sports-minded person, this period of company downtime was no less intense and challenging than pre-war management weekdays. Various types of support for the military and civilians that required assistance often became round-the-clock tasks. Our transport odometers, which were used for volunteer purposes and for delivering goods to the army from abroad, racked up thousands of kilometres. With the resumption of the company’s operations, volunteer work was no longer a top priority, but we didn’t stop caring about it, especially since we established a charitable foundation that needed attention.<\/em><\/p>\n

– Did you feel a significant loss of company clients who ended up in the occupied zone and are still there?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– It was noticeable because some of them still have significant outstanding debts, but it is not critical for the full functioning of the company. We don’t have any claims against them, understanding the situation they are in. We maintain contact with them, and encourage them, as some production facilities suffered hostile destruction. We will fix everything when we achieve victory.<\/em><\/p>\n

– Last year, did you rely on pre-war stocks of paint and coating products, or did you already have new supplies?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– The stock of goods in the warehouse was sufficient to start work after the forced break, but we managed to restore import supplies quickly. Moreover, our foreign counterparts were captivated by the unexpected heroic resistance demonstrated by Ukraine against the enemy invasion, and they understood and sympathized with our objective difficulties. For example, they were very tolerant of payment deferrals when such difficulties occurred. We also received the support of a different nature. For example, our Polish partners provided material assistance to Ukrainian refugees and helped them find employment in Poland. There were also cases of financial assistance, but it was explicitly requested not to disclose it if the funds were used for military purposes. There are major foreign companies that, for some reason, asked not to mention their assistance anywhere.<\/em><\/p>\n

– Have the relationships with furniture-making clients changed in the conditions of war?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– Yes. We had to make certain adjustments that were not necessary during peacetime. During the war, when they and we are constantly under the threat of enemy shelling, the likelihood of force majeure circumstances and other risks increase significantly, and this cannot be ignored in business relationships. Fortunately, we managed to come to an understanding.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\t\t
