A Private Joint Stock Company\u00a0“SVIT MEBLIV – Ukraine<\/a>” is one of the largest and most powerful domestic furniture manufacturers in the country. Suffice it to say that the territory on which its production facilities are deployed with a full cycle of cabinet furniture production is about ten hectares. A well-organized dealer network allowed the company to sell its products in all regions of the country. Of course, the war somewhat narrowed the geography of domestic sales, but this circumstance did not become critical, as well as a particular reduction in export supplies due to the complications of transport logistics, especially sea transportation. The fact that with the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the number of its staff will be reduced by six dozen employees for reasons known and understandable in the current conditions, because this is no more than ten per cent of their usual number, as Lilia told us, did not become critical for the company’s vital activities. Unlike many of our furniture factories, which the war forced to suspend their activities for a month or more, the management of the “SVIT MEBLIV<\/a>” factory was in a state of confusion for about a week, which in the first days of the war did not escape even those entrepreneurs whose productions were far from the war zones actions The Uman furniture factory started working – although not on the usual scale – when two hundred kilometres away, fierce battles were still going on on the outskirts of the capital, and the enemy horde could move along the largest highway towards Odessa through Uman. And in two months, it has already stabilized production volumes, bringing them closer to the pre-war level. The prompt purchase of four powerful generators enabled the factory not to reduce production rates even during the autumn blackouts, which caused considerable trouble to many producers.<\/p>\n

The company, which opposed the difficulties of wartime with its team cohesion and tenacity, could not neglect the opportunity not to stop its always active exhibition activity. All the more so since the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers contributed to this already last year, when the war was still in a shaky phase of uncertainty: it organized participation in an international furniture exhibition in Poland on favourable terms for domestic furniture makers, and at the beginning of this year – offered participation in the next exhibition in Pozna\u0144 – in that same format of the collective national stand. SVIT MEBLIV<\/a> company did not miss both of these exhibitions.<\/p>\n

Guided by Horace’s saying “Great success consists of many foreseen and thought-out little things” in its furniture business, the company has achieved several competitive advantages, which has always been a guarantee of expanding its customer base and increasing the volume of sales. In particular, in twenty foreign countries on different continents. This was confirmed by the results of the participation of “SVIT MEBLIV<\/a>” in the two Polish exhibitions in question, at which the company demonstrated several furniture novelties that have recently expanded its range. As Liliya Nyzhnyk noted in her story, wartime difficulties did not disrupt the company’s usual order and pace of expanding and updating the product range by developing and introducing new furniture product models into production, evidenced by the updated catalogue every year.<\/p>\n

– The company’s planned and implemented participation in prestigious international exhibitions, planned and implemented in the usual order development and implementation of furniture novelties, probably not all that the company implemented in spite of the war from its development plans?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– So. Even during these difficult one-and-a-half war years, it was possible to slightly expand the production base, and introduce some new technologies designed to give products unique competitive advantages. It can be cited as an example of mastering a new method of painting equipment for furniture facades.<\/em><\/p>\n

– In communication with the owners and managers of furniture factories, we have already stopped asking them whether their companies participate in helping the army and in other charitable activities, because we have long been convinced that there is not a single one that would be apart of this civic, patriotic movement. Therefore, we immediately ask: “How do you help the army?”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

– At the request of the local authorities, they helped financially and materially (furniture) to the emigrants from the east and the south, but to a greater extent the army, the front, helped. And this help does not stop, having immediately acquired a regular character. Three dozen cars have already been purchased and handed over to the needs of military units. Deliveries to the front lines of military equipment, sights, thermal imagers, and electric generators, which our defenders constantly need, have become regular. This is how we work for victory.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\t\t
