If we compare the lifespan of a furniture company to a person\u2019s age, Kyiv-based 4Corners is not just young, but very much in its early years. Yet, its portfolio already includes numerous completed projects, and its reputation is that of a high-level manufacturer and a reliable partner. Its products are not just furniture, but the embodiment of bold design ideas created with each client\u2019s individuality in mind. This flexible approach allows the company to meet customer needs precisely and creatively in every detail. The same philosophy applies both to private turnkey projects and to serial production.<\/p>\n

Knowing from experience that the war has affected almost every furniture business, we asked Dmytro Peterzhak<\/strong> what has changed at 4Corners.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2014 We adjusted the balance between turnkey projects and serial production. The reduction in the number of complex projects during the first year of the war pushed us to focus more on serial collections. At the same time, we believed that our expertise and quality in comprehensive solutions would remain in demand. And indeed: the following year we received a proposal for a project in Cyprus, and last year another one. That\u2019s how we effectively became exporters. The only part we didn\u2019t handle ourselves was on-site installation. This was carried out by our partners, since, for obvious reasons, we couldn\u2019t send our own team abroad.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2014 Who are these partners?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2014 A Ukrainian construction company with which we had previously collaborated on a large commercial project in Ukraine. Our work was highly appreciated back then, so now they invited us again\u2014this time to join their international projects.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n

\u2014 Do you currently have any projects abroad?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2014 Not at the moment, but export continues, albeit occasionally. From time to time, we supply our serial collections to Europe.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n

\u2014 Your recent participation in the prestigious Milan exhibition indicates a clear focus on export, doesn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2014 Yes, although we are also committed to regaining our positions in the domestic market, which is why we take part in the annual Ukrainian furniture exhibition. For us, complex business projects are particularly important: kitchen furniture, cabinetry, tables, chairs, bar counters, and more.<\/em>
As for Milan, our first participation was more of an image-building step. Still, the result was very encouraging: our products received strong recognition. We were even featured in an Italian industry publication, and the name 4Cornersappeared alongside world-renowned brands such as Prada, Gucci, and 101 Copenhagen.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2014 What projects are already in motion this year?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2014 We are preparing for an exhibition in Oslo that will take place in the fall.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n

\u2014 You might become one of the first Ukrainian companies to present at this exhibition. Does that mean you are targeting the Scandinavian market specifically?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2014 Yes, though there\u2019s another important factor: we received support from a state program for exporters, as well as assistance from the Embassy of Ukraine in Norway. Similar support also made it possible for us to participate in Milan.<\/em>
In Oslo, we will present the same products, but in different colors and finishes \u2014 more in line with current design trends. We follow furniture fashion very closely.<\/em>
And in October, you\u2019ll also be able to see us at the Ukrainian Design Hall<\/strong> forum at Mystetskyi Arsenal in Kyiv.<\/em><\/p>\n
