1. It is worth knowing: in order to form a competitive market for rail transport<\/p>\n
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport issues voted for the draft law on rail transport to be submitted to the session hall of the Parliament. The joint work of deputies with representatives of “Ukrzaliznytsia”, specialized associations, ministries and departments has turned into a balanced bill that takes into account the interests of all stakeholders of passenger and freight rail transport. The main task of the future law will be to create conditions for the development of a competitive environment in the rail transport market, taking into account the main requirements of EU legislation.<\/p>\n
2.Ukrainian moratorium does not suit the EU<\/p>\n
In the trade relations between Ukraine and the European Union, a conflict breaks down. The reason for this is a moratorium on exports of wood-cobblestone, introduced by Ukraine in 2015. At the insistence of the EU, the first official consultations have taken place, and the arbitration process can begin. Experts assert that Brussels will stand on its own: the moratorium violates the Association Agreement. The main risk of such a trial is the excluded appeal. If the decision is still not fulfilled, the dispute-winning party has the right to introduce restrictions on trade preferences within the framework of the rules of the current Free Trade Area. Given the fact that today the EU is the largest market for Ukrainian products, there are plenty of levers of pressure on Kyiv to Brussels. For the EU, such arbitration is an unprecedented case, although this rule is included in all FTA agreements. There were disputes, but no one was brought to such a level.<\/p>\n
3. World rating of furniture companies: top 200<\/p>\n

These data are reflected in the report “The 200 Best Furniture Manufacturers in the World” by the Milan Center for Industrial Research “CSIL”. According to the survey, average per capita consumption of furniture on the whole of the world is increasing, especially in the Asia-Pacific region, which is beginning to play an increasingly important role at the level of the long-established large markets. In the past six years, the global furniture market has seen the following trend: furniture trade grew faster than their production. More than half of the world’s furniture production today is located in the Asia-Pacific region, where the manufacturing of interior items is carried out by fast-growing local companies – largely due to investments from entrepreneurs from developed countries. CSIL has made a large selection that identifies the top 200 producers. furniture around the world and make an objective picture of the global furniture market. This group of companies represents about 23% of the total volume of furniture production worldwide. The majority of companies – market leaders are concentrated in Europe – more than 40% of the companies listed in the report have headquarters in the European Union (including Norway and Switzerland). North America has headquarters of a quarter of top-tier furniture companies (22%), 2% in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey, and 2% in southern America.<\/p>\n
