In 2019, the volume of furniture exports to Israel doubled from 1,180.4 to 2,441.5 thousand ths. USD.
\nThe strategic goal of the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers is to increase furniture sales in Ukraine and the world. To this end, training events are held monthly for UAFM members and other market participants, and ongoing cooperation with government organizations, Ukrainian and international public associations and donors is ongoing. Thanks to the support of donor organizations, representatives of the Ukrainian furniture industry can participate in trade and scout missions.
\nStarting work with the Israeli market almost two years ago, no one knew when this cooperation would give the first results, maybe right away, maybe in a few months, or maybe years, because export is longread. Let’s remember together how it was and what results we have now.
\nFrom July 23 to July 25, 2018, 8 member companies of the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers (TopArt Nature of Art<\/a>,\u00a0Atelier Lilu<\/a>,\u00a0Delavega<\/a>,\u00a0Vavilon<\/a>,\u00a0\u041f\u0430\u0432\u043b\u0438\u043a<\/a>,\u00a0AGT plus<\/a>,\u00a0Mirt Company<\/a>,\u00a0Eskada-M<\/a>) took part in a trade mission to Israel organized by the Promotion Office export and chaired by Stepan Kubiv, First Vice Prime Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
\nThe trip was organized under the auspices of the Export Promotion Office\/\u041e\u0444\u0456\u0441 \u0437 \u041f\u0440\u043e\u0441\u0443\u0432\u0430\u043d\u043d\u044f \u0415\u043a\u0441\u043f\u043e\u0440\u0442\u0443<\/a>. A business consultant was elected, more than 100 B2B meetings and the Israeli-Ukrainian business summit were prepared. Each of the participants in the trading mission had about 10 B2B meetings with company owners.
\nDuring the trading mission, one of the eight companies – \u041f\u0430\u0432\u043b\u0438\u043a<\/a> – entered into an agreement with the trading company for the monthly supply of a container of chairs and tables.
\nFurther, the joint furnishing of apartments in one of the largest residential quarters of Israel – the Ukrainian designer Alexander Sekeda created 2 apartment projects, in the implementation of which UAFM member companies participated: \u041f\u0430\u0432\u043b\u0438\u043a<\/a>,\u00a0Dizi by Ukrizramebel<\/a>,\u00a0INSTYLE Kitchen\u2022Living<\/a>,\u00a0Brw Gerbor West&Ost<\/a>,\u00a0TopArt Nature of Art<\/a>. In mid-December 2018 was the first delivery of a container with two finished apartments.
\nFrom February 5 to 9, a return trade mission was organized within the framework of the #<\/span>EU4Business<\/span><\/span><\/a> initiative implemented by the \u0404\u0411\u0420\u0420: \u043a\u043e\u043d\u0441\u0443\u043b\u044c\u0442\u0430\u0446\u0456\u0457 \u0434\u043b\u044f \u043c\u0430\u043b\u043e\u0433\u043e \u0431\u0456\u0437\u043d\u0435\u0441\u0443 \u0432 \u0423\u043a\u0440\u0430\u0457\u043d\u0456<\/a>, with the participation of the Israeli Ukrainian Alliance and the assistance of the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers. 15 Israeli buyers, architects, designers and retailers met 70 Ukrainian furniture companies during February 6 and 7.
\nNext, two successful projects that were implemented by Ukrainian furniture makers in Israel.
\nThe first project is college furnishings in Israel, which lasted 3 months. The amount of the contract is 300,000 euros. The joint efforts of the six member companies of UAFM were furnished with 160 college rooms: the Furniture Service company manufactured and supplied beds, wardrobes and tables; AMF – Art Metal Furniture<\/a> – office furniture; Eskada-M<\/a> – meeting tables; \u041f\u0430\u0432\u043b\u0438\u043a<\/a> – tables and chairs in the dining room; Bee-Worker<\/a> collected and assembled furniture; Consolidation and dispatch of cargo was provided by \u0422\u043e\u043f\u041c\u0435\u0431\u0435\u043b\u044c<\/a>.
\nThe next project is Luleem coworking furnishings, a joint project of two Ukrainian furniture companies: AMF – Art Metal Furniture<\/a> and \u041f\u0440\u0410\u0422 “\u0415\u043d\u0440\u0430\u043d”<\/a>, which lasted one year. The amount of the contract is 200,000 euros.
\nIntroducing and opening up new markets is no easy task. Successful cases with Israel became possible only thanks to hard work, constant contact with potential customers, numerous trips to Israel and return missions.<\/p>\n

UAFM also uses the successful experience of increasing furniture exports through acquaintance of potential buyers with the furniture industry and Ukraine throughout the organization of Furniture of Ukraine Business Expo-2020<\/a>, inviting representatives of purchasing groups, furniture networks, architects and designers from more than 40 countries of the world.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
