“Trouble will torment, but will teach.” There is such a folk saying. We are not going to claim that some of the furniture companies-members of our Association, who, having shown entrepreneurial acumen, took care of uncharacteristic cases, were in charge of it. For example, tailoring individual protective masks. And not just for your own needs. And not only for the purpose of making a profit (well, how much will you earn on it ?!), but also, without exaggeration, fulfilling the social order dictated to its owners by their civic duty. We write about this without unnecessary pathetic, because it really is, which confirmed our communication with them on this topic.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Of course, the easiest thing for such a sewing business is to engage in upholstered furniture manufacturers who do not need to reconfigure production, to find the necessary personnel and materials, to buy sewing equipment. They have almost all of them. Yes, and individual protective masks – the product is simple, mastering sewing technology is not a problem. What has been some of the hassles is to set up sales.<\/span>
\nOdessa-based Decido<\/strong> has made a strong bid for its large volumes and the low price of its masks (within UAH 7-14). In order to sew a thousand masks daily, so to tell, was not enough,<\/em> says the owner of the company Sergii Gusev<\/strong>, had to use freelance seamstresses-homeworkers. Not enough, says Sergei, not so much their own seamstresses as the required sewing machines. Most are for working with furniture textiles, and those for fine fabrics are just two. Cutting out all the masks we do at the enterprise, the housewives just sew.<\/em><\/span>
\nHowever, not all the materials needed to sew protective masks turned out to be handy, in stock. Spunbond had to search and buy in a hurry because the company had not dealt with it before.<\/span>
\n– Honestly, we expect that the demand for protective masks will be higher, but their market quickly “saturated”. So now the pace of their sewing has been reduced to a minimum, we are finishing up what has already been cut. But if the market demands it again, we are ready to restore the previous volumes.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Just as “sewing enthusiasm” went down in the family company “Lapufic<\/strong>” from Odessa. The company has already practically ceased the manufacture of protective masks, although this product has a high-quality factor, as evidenced by the price of 120 UAH (six-layer masks: four layers of polyester and two – spun bonds). Its manager Dmytro Demchenko<\/strong> says that they have also attempted to sew protective clothing, having the necessary material for this purpose, but such products for mass sale, unlike simple masks, require a number of certifications. It is impossible to obtain them in the short term, and such costly procedures, and therefore economically unprofitable for the production of temporary production. Especially in the conditions where every penny is on the control.<\/span>
\nUnlike the DECIDO, Odessa furniture makers from Lapufic with spunbond worked before but used in its products more dense variants of it. They tried to use them but made sure that breathing in such masks was difficult. I had to buy a traditional thirtieth density spun-bond masks for new needs. Sewed masks in smaller volumes than their counterparts in Odessa: at the beginning of 30-40 masks a day, increasing to 60 units. Once again, it should be emphasized that our colleagues were guided not only by business interests by sewing protective masks. They have to be paid tribute, this unconventional business is to some extent charitable. Odesa producers gave part of the sewn masks to charitable volunteer organizations for distribution to the people, which those organizations patronize, and the Mykolaiv furniture manufacturers transferred twenty per cent of the funds from the realized masks to the charity fund.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"The capital company Aton Service<\/strong> does not sew protective masks because it mainly works with metal, producing and installing means of industrial aspiration and ventilation, air purification. But to the best of its ability, it also joined the antivirus standoff. To this end, it has designed a metal box that can be used in a pandemic to kill coronavirus bacteria that can be brought home from grocery stores. You can also sterilize clothes and other things that can get a viral infection. Such boxing is structurally simple. So to tell, its core is a bactericidal lamp, the rays of which disinfect the air, sterilize surfaces, neutralize harmful viruses and other microorganisms.<\/span>
\n– I will not say that such a box is something innovative because ultraviolet rays have long been used for anti-ageing purposes<\/em> – says the owner of the company Eduard Lebedev<\/strong>. – We just used the hint, which, we can say, gave us the current epidemiological situation, and promptly, within a week, the idea of \u200b\u200bsuch boxing, as they say, materialized in malice of the day in a specific product. We have enough metal for such a product, but the bactericidal lamps turned out to be deficient, with great effort they were bought. In fact, all-electric boxing had to be purchased.<\/em><\/span>
\nThe volume of the box is 200 litres, it is quite large, but still convenient for transportation because it is collapsible. It is easy to disassemble for transportation in a car, say to the dacha, and to collect on the spot. Twenty minutes of boxing is enough to clear products or other things from possible harmful microorganisms.<\/span>
\nWe are now at the stage of its promotion, we are looking for the means (the video has already been shot), we are determining the price parameters, we are looking for opportunities of mass sales, a market niche for such a product,<\/em> – continues the speaker. In general, the idea of \u200b\u200bsuch a box is very productive. In principle, it can be useful not only for decontamination of things but also for storing, on the balcony of products in winter, according to the principle of vegetable storage – it is enough to insulate the box. Even in the post-quarantine period, it will not be superfluous.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Neocon<\/strong> has joined those members of our Association who have offered their market new products specifically designed to combat coronavirus infection, the development and release of which have been quarantined under quarantine conditions.<\/span>

The company assures that they can quickly produce customized options for the needs of customers. Three variants of their fastening are offered: prefabricated groove fastenings from plastic, plywood groove fastenings and metal – for screens of the bigger sizes. Different options – different purpose. A separate variant of barrier protection – screens for taxi drivers. To shield passengers from the driver. The plastic is thinner and more flexible for them, but also quite durable. Auto screens are also fast and easy to attach to the front seat. The company uses imported plastics. Not because there are no domestic counterparts, but because Ukrainian manufacturers make them only on order and when purchasing a large batch.<\/span>
\nThe company almost didn\u2019t need to increase the number of employees to launch and produce new products. The company has a well-established machine processing of plastics, so there is no special need to increase the number of employees, which would add to the risk of infection. In total, there are just about three employees for Screenbox production: the cutter, the workbench and the finished product packer. More involved in the process of looking for potential customers, channels of sales of new products, engaged in its promotion.<\/span><\/p>\n
