1. Ukraine and Turkey noted the positive dynamics of bilateral trade in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and agreed to accelerate the conclusion of a free trade agreement, resolving all issues that currently hamper such an important process. The furniture industry, which actively trades with Turkey, has long been waiting for a free trade regime.<\/p>\n
2. Staff reductions over the next 12 months are expected by 21% of surveyed companies. Only 10.2% of companies plan to hire new employees. At the same time, the number of companies that plan to increase the salaries of their employees over the next 12 months has increased significantly. Such – 55.7% (against 36.5% in the previous quarter). Only 3.6% of companies think about reducing salaries. Large enterprises have better expectations for an increase in the wage bill.<\/p>\n
In general, enterprises’ assessments of changes in their financial condition improved over the next 12 months. Every fifth company predicts the best results. The business expects an increase in total sales, including in foreign markets.<\/p>\n
3. The Social Insurance Fund has adopted a new procedure for verifying the correctness of the use of insurance funds by insurers (employers who are obliged to pay a single contribution), which provides for the departure from “punitive stress checks” and reducing their number while practising a risk-based approach.<\/p>\n
In particular, the procedure defines an updated list of possible grounds for scheduled and unscheduled inspections, which allow to assess the feasibility of their conduct and reduce the total number. It is also reported that the procedure introduced a unified form of the act of inspection of the insured, which confirms the fact of documentary inspection, reflects its results and is a carrier of evidence of violations in the field of compulsory state social insurance.<\/p>\n
4. Turkish brand of “smart” fabrics “CHISTETIKA” breathed new life into recycled plastic, embodying it in textiles for the production of upholstered furniture. The raw material is made of PET1-labeled plastic bottle, which was caught in the ocean and collected on its coastline. From it soft, wear-resistant and beautiful furniture fabrics of the Eco series in which Infinity, Forever, Touch and Lisa mats are overcooked.<\/p>\n
Textiles of the Eco line fully meet high ecological quality standards. According to technical indicators, such textiles correspond to the usual synthetic fabrics.<\/p>\n
5. Scandinavian Johnny Swing turns the remnants of the armour of medieval warriors and coins that can be obtained into interior items – sofas, chairs and stools. Despite the unusualness of such furniture, it turns out not brutal, but very elegant.<\/p>\n
Johnny Swing has many sources of inspiration, from snow-capped hills and other geological formations to European racing cars of the 1950s and the curves of the human body. Rethinking these images, the designer creates intricate sculptural furniture, welding together thousands of coins. Despite the unusual material, the furniture is ergonomic and comfortable, resistant to weather conditions, so it can be used even outdoors.<\/p>\n
Johnny’s things are the result of painstaking and difficult handwork, so they are expensive. But the positive they accumulate is worth it.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
