Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant for the furniture maker, read in our digest:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n 1. Ukraine and Azerbaijan have reached an agreement on obtaining additional permits by Ukrainian carriers for the current year and increasing the quota for 2022.<\/p>\n In particular, in 2021 the Ukrainian side will receive an additional 850 universal permits and 150 for transportation to or from third countries, and in 2022 the quota of universal permits will be increased by 45% – up to 3200, and by 27% permits for transportation to\/from third countries – to 1400.<\/span><\/p>\n It should be noted that Ukrainian carriers will receive an increased quota of permits for Azerbaijan for the first time in the last 10 years.<\/span><\/p>\n 2. The State Labor Inspectorate continues to inspect businesses to identify undocumented workers. In two and a half months, more than 2,700 inspections were conducted, which recorded about 10,000 illegal workers.<\/p>\n The State Labor Service works in cooperation with the tax service and the Pension Fund. The agency compares and analyzes data in its databases. The tax reports, for example, list a company with significant production volumes and millions of turnovers, but according to the Pension Fund, it has only three employees. Such discrepancies arouse suspicion.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If at the enterprise the majority of employees is issued through civil contracts, it is also a red signal for officials. Most often, inspections are initiated at the request of citizens. <\/span><\/p>\n 3. In Chernihiv, the team of the public organization “Eco City” started the first plastic processing workshop “Plastic Fantastic”: waste is turned into useful and interesting things. A workshop was opened on one of the campuses of the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic” with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n First, in a shredder, the plastic is crushed into crumbs or granules. The resulting material is then baked into sheets under heat. The extruder can be used for the mass production of plastic parts for various purposes. They can also order furniture in the workshop that they need plastic elements, especially exclusive ones.<\/span><\/p>\n 4. Korean designer Won Min Park presented his new handmade furniture collection “Stone and Steel”. It has tables and a chair. The bedding is made of volcanic rock, treated using various technologies. The products combine rough, smooth and turned textures, as well as steel table tops of manual faceting.<\/p>\n In the underlays, he retained the expressive shapes of the stone and applied traditional Japanese carving techniques, creating textures that contrasted with rusty, oxidized surfaces.<\/span><\/p>\n 5. Studio \u00ab\u0412ohinc\u00bb<\/span> presented its new collection “Afternoon Tea” at the London Design Festival. Nine new items designed by designer Lara Bohinc include dining chairs, armchairs, a sofa and tables in wonderful shades of sorbet.<\/p>\n “I created this collection at the beginning of the pandemic, in conditions of loneliness and insecurity, longing for the usual opportunity to communicate with friends,” Lara commented on the creative idea. – That’s why I wanted to create things with sculptural aesthetics to fill this void. Some of the objects are similar to living beings, they can even be hugged. Most have spherical, rounded shapes or lush surfaces.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t
