\u2026 And they started without an office<\/strong><\/p>\n

The private enterprise VAMGROUP<\/strong> was established in the capital by the efforts of two employees of the same company, who once decided to cooperate in order to turn from employees to employers, ie owners and managers of new furniture production, by starting their own business. One of them – Vyacheslav Khodakov<\/strong> – just told us about it.<\/p>\n

He also said that, of course, practical furniture was not terra incognita for him, because he designed individual furniture for different companies for many years. And he started in “Enran” as a shop worker. There are also sales manager skills in his career. So they started their own furniture business with a partner prepared, we can say, comprehensively. Realizing that the acquired experience and practical knowledge is enough to “work not for someone, but for yourself.”<\/p>\n

His partner Oleksandr Petrenko<\/strong> also worked hard in this field. And the decision to start their own business came after the last work successfully implemented a rather complex and large-scale project in which they worked closely together, so, as they say, well-worn characters, realized that together they could do no less successfully perform the same complex tasks and your own company.<\/p>\n

And they began to manage independently quite modestly – without capital investment, and therefore almost without their own production base.<\/p>\n

– During fifteen years of work in the industry – in different companies and in different positions – I have made many acquaintances, including manufacturers, – explains Vyacheslav. – With their contractual help we solved our furniture production needs, undertaking the fulfillment of individual orders for our first clients. And to design furniture for them, which we did together with Alexander and did at first, we did not need much space. You could work at home.<\/p>\n

I will also note that there really was a period in the history of the company when we did not have an office. Our designers really worked from home. So when our colleagues, furniture makers, had a hard time getting used to the remote work of workers in between the quarantine, we had no problems with it – we have long been accustomed to such a regime.<\/p>\n

Prerequisites for further development of the company were formed in two years. Its production base was a small shop with four employees. The founders took in another partner, who took care of the organization of production. Things went up, which made it possible to equip – already in a new place – the current full-scale furniture production with carpentry, painting shops, furniture assembly shop. But they did not refuse the services of contractors – as for the processing of stone, metal, and now carpentry, provide partner companies.<\/p>\n

– What, in fact, started, that’s why we pay the most attention – furniture design. This is our main competitive advantage. However, Alexander and I do not deal with this directly. Design work is carried out in two stages. Managers working with clients carry out preliminary “estimation” of future products, and already detailed development of the project is carried out by designers. Undoubtedly, we have a very strong design team, since we decided to have the design and construction of furniture for our competitive advantage. After all, if the work of designers and constructors is performed flawlessly, then at the stage of material implementation of the project – and our shopkeepers and contractors – there are no problems. Everything is done efficiently, clearly, quickly, in a coordinated manner.<\/p>\n

– Can you remember the project, the implementation of which was really important for the company, a confirmation that it is already capable of tasks of any complexity?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Apparently, such a memorable object can be considered a large IQ business center, the arrangement of which forced to master the work with natural wood. In particular, walnuts, which were brought from Transcarpathia. However, in reality, every object, every complex project that added to our portfolio, was not easy to implement. Everyone was not like the other, so every time I had to do something, if not for the first time, then in a new way. If it is not the first time to work with some materials, then process already known to us in a new way, using sophisticated technologies.<\/p>\n

– Among the materials that were once new to you, what can you name?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Six years ago we made a project in which it was necessary to use porcelain panels for production of table-tops. Today, this material is at the peak of popularity, and then it was almost non-existent in our market.<\/p>\n

– Do you have work done for foreign clients?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– You can’t call our company export-oriented yet. Of the foreign ones, only one order in our “track record” is a facility in Baku. And then the installation of our furniture on site was performed by representatives of the customer. In general, the implementation of individual projects abroad is not easy in purely organizational terms, as far as we understand. Therefore, we are not developing this topic yet.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
