When, in the very first days of the war, the enemy actually found himself under the walls of Kharkiv, it was no business: first of all, they saved themselves and their families. Having found refuge with his friends in Vinnytsia, the naturally active Serhiy, of course, could not sit idly by, bought a minibus and began to transport humanitarian goods to his native Kharkiv – both for the needs of the army and for his compatriots who remained in the shelled city and needed help. And drove until the enemy was pushed away from the city, and a more massive delivery of “humanitarians” by trucks and railways was arranged. With great gratitude, he remembers Andrii Hyzhka (Bez Cordonov international charity foundation), Iryna Kabanova from the humanitarian aid headquarters in the city of Oleksandria, as well as volunteers from the aid headquarters in Kropyvnytskyi, with whom he brought together charitable causes – in fact, everyone who contributed to them in every way contributed to<\/p>\n
But the time has come to think about business, about reviving the company’s activities. It was decided to open an office in Zhytomyr. Even during the quarantine times, the staff has experience in remote work, so there are no problems with its proper functioning. Actually, even before the war, Serhiy said, he had plans to open a representative office of the company in central Ukraine. As they say, there is no bad without good: the war accelerated the realization of this plan. Carrying out humanitarian flights to Kharkiv, Serhii took some equipment and necessary office equipment to Zhytomyr.<\/p>\n
– Well, how does the company get used to the new place?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
– Quite successful. Despite the fact that some of the Kharkiv employees could not continue cooperation with the company for various objective reasons. The company’s operational database has been expanded, work with non-cash accounts has been resumed, and orders are fulfilled on time. They reached 25% of pre-war sales volumes. Overdue credit obligations were paid, and the overdraft line was reissued in “Kredobank” (thanks to the bank’s board for their support and trust). We pay taxes. We pay off credit obligations to our partners. All pre-war orders have been shipped (except for a few that cannot be reached).<\/em><\/p>\n
In a word, the company lives, works stably, and serves customers in full, on time and, as always, at a high partner level. And those who have not yet worked with us, who need different plywood, MDF and other materials in any region of Ukraine, let them test us for compliance with what was said. I’m waiting for your call!<\/em><\/p>\n
However, there is still a lot that needs to be done and wants to be done. First of all, it is necessary to find new partners in the central regions to build long-term relationships, to supplement the company’s staff by training new employees. The company’s pre-war projects are awaiting completion, including the establishment of the collection and processing of PVC film waste (there are other projects related to the collection and processing of household and industrial waste. Of course, we want to be able to build our own warehouse in the central part of Ukraine as soon as possible (at the moment we were sheltered by competing partners who, in these difficult times of the war, supported us by providing warehouse space for our materials).<\/em><\/p>\n
– Does that mean the company has finally severed ties with Kharkiv?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
– No. Our warehouse will remain there. Moreover, it – was only after the threat of the enemy’s invasion of the city disappeared – did it work thanks to the efforts of my brother Kirill, who did not leave the city. He also organized the transportation of the delivered humanitarian aid around the city by the company’s Kharkiv transport.<\/em><\/p>\n
It makes no sense to liquidate the warehouse in Kharkiv because a large number of our customers are in the east, and some of them have already resumed or are starting to resume production activities, so they began to buy slabs and other materials from us. And when the war ends with our victory, and the time comes for the full-scale reconstruction of the destroyed city, the need for slab materials, which we supply to the region, will increase many times. In the near future, we plan to reach 50% of pre-war sales volumes and create conditions for further growth. Then we will be able to transfer more funds to support the Armed Forces.<\/em><\/p>\n
