1. The Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers together with the Ministry of Economy held a conference<\/a> with leading enterprises in the furniture industry to discuss possible options for attracting project financing from international financial organizations. At the moment, the American company “Development Finance Corporation”, the European Investment Bank, and the International Finance Corporation are ready to provide financing to Ukrainian enterprises.<\/p>\n

2. The European Parliament approved the agreement between the European Union and Ukraine on freight transportation by motor vehicles. Now they are working on extending its term for another year. We hope that the agreement cancels the need for Ukrainian carriers to obtain permits for bilateral and transit transportation through the EU.<\/p>\n

3. Now in Ukraine, those who could not find common solutions for months and years have united. Now you can find like-minded people and launch a project in one or two hours. Such a main message was delivered by representatives of Ukrainian business and the state at the largest technology conference in Europe “Web Summit 2022”, which took place in Lisbon.<\/p>\n

4. The President signed the Law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Improving the Legal Basis of Conducting Auditing Activities in Ukraine.” In particular, it provides for the improvement of norms regarding the information provided in the auditor’s report based on the results of the mandatory audit of the company’s financial statements.<\/p>\n

5. The Ukrainian start-up “Releaf Paper” is the first that can produce eco-paper and paper bags from fallen leaves. It is processed into cellulose, which is the basis for the company’s products. The company became the first to process leaves into cellulose. It exports most of its products. Among its clients are several top world brands, for example, the South Korean “Samsung”.<\/p>\n

6. As a result of Russian shelling in Ukraine, at least 25 shopping and entertainment centers, which are usually trading platforms for the sale of Ukrainian furniture, have been damaged. Their owners refrain from rebuilding them due to the decline in the purchasing power of the population and the decrease in the number of tenant entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

7. 88% of domestic businesses adapted to martial law: 38% developed new strategies, and 51% chose the mechanism of managing the company intuitively. The share of businesses refocusing on export development has increased sharply (up to 40%) – which means that in the near future we are expecting a change in product certification standards, an increase in attention to quality management, an increase in the professionalism of management, business culture, etc.<\/p>\n

8. To support the private sector and the economy, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to launch two more industrial parks – in Lviv and Ternopil regions. Each will create thousands of manufacturing jobs. This is exactly what the furniture industry has always wanted.<\/p>\n

9. By the end of the year, they are planning to open a new enterprise “Mebli Style Ukraine” in Chervonohrad, which will specialize in the production of cabinet furniture. The head of the enterprise, Roman Tabatadze, said that 7 million euros were involved – the funds of Polish investors. 90% of the products will be manufactured mainly for export to more than 25 countries of the world.<\/p>\n

10. Ukrainian exporters and importers will have more opportunities to transport their goods by sea. The Cabinet of Ministers decided to expand the equatorium of seaports on the Danube – in Izmail, Ren and Ust-Dunaisk. It has already been possible to increase the cargo turnover of these ports from 30,000 tons per month to 1.7 million tons, i.e. more than 50 times.<\/p>\n

11. The capital company “Fine kitchens” discovered a lot in common between Ukrainians and Maltese on the basis that this island became the largest importer of its kitchens. So, at the end of October, another container with 450 kitchen sets was sent to the port of Romania, from where they will be delivered by ship to Malta.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
