UAFM’s trade mission to Great Britain. Open call
Dear friends, we know that you tirelessly produce quality furniture and doors. We are proud of each of you and continue to create new opportunities for each of our members. That is why UAFM, with the support of the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine (CEP), is organizing a trade mission to Great Britain.
Trade mission dates: April 25-29, 2023.
20 furniture and door industry companies will visit Great Britain, furniture showrooms, and will be able to conduct B2B negotiations with potential partners and negotiate cooperation. The trade mission program provides for the training of the participants at the special FBA course “Export to Great Britain” in March, participation in a visit to London for 5 days in April, as well as attendance at the final summing-up event in Kyiv in May 2023.
Your company can participate in the selection if it meets the following criteria:
- An active member of UAFM.
- A representative of a small/medium-sized business that works in the segment of manufacturing furniture to order.
- Has experience in furnishing projects to order in Ukraine (hotels, restaurants, public places, apartments, etc.).
- Delegates an English-speaking employee of the company to participate in the trade mission and conduct all communication before and after it (or will provide the work of a translator during the trade mission).
- The company has export experience or export capacity
- The company has production facilities in Ukraine for the implementation of projects.
- The company has a price list/catalog/presentation/website in English.
- The company has/or is in the process of obtaining the appropriate certification for exporting furniture to Great Britain.
- The company has an understanding of the construction of logistics and installation of its products in Great Britain and can assure the buyer of the ability to implement the order.
- The company independently, after training on a special course, looks for three potential customers for its product and invites them to B2B as part of a trade mission.
! When selecting participants, priority will be given to companies that have suffered from military actions, have been relocated, and are in the process of restoring their production. Priority will also be given to companies working in the creative industries segment and companies with 50% women among employees.
