This time, UAFM invites its participants to London for a trade mission, which will take place from April 25 to 29, with the support of the USAID Program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine”.

It will be possible to prepare for a successful trade mission at the special course of the UAFM – FBA furniture academy. The acquired knowledge will help you profitably present your products for the UK market and conclude contracts.

A trade mission is a quality tool for studying the market and finding potential partners.

The trade mission aims to:

– study the system of export-import relations, trade barriers, and business;

– peculiarities of the UK market;

– establish direct contacts at the business level;

– research the market and business opportunities;

-present Ukrainian export potential in Great Britain.

20 lucky companies will represent FURNITURE OF UKRAINE in London.

B2B meetings

On April 25, 2023, we will hold B2B meetings between mission participants and English buyers, retailers, designers and architects.

The meetings will take place at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

• 10:00-10:30 – meeting at the Embassy, coffee break
• 10:30-11:00 a.m. – welcome speech by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland – Vadym Prystaiko and the President of the UAFM – Volodymyr Patis
• 11:00-13:00 – The first stage of B2B negotiations (20 buyers, each of which can hold 4 meetings)
• 13:00-14:00 – lunch break
• 14:00-16:00 – Second stage of B2B negotiations (20 buyers, each of which can hold 4 meetings)
• 16:00-18:00 – The third stage of B2B negotiations (20 buyers, each of which can hold 4 meetings)

Visits to offices and showrooms in London

From April 27 to 28, 2023, the participants of the mission from the Ukrainian furniture business will continue to establish contacts with potential partners in offices and showrooms in London.

Conducting personal meetings

On April 29, 2023, before the trade mission to Great Britain, each participant must schedule 3 meetings with local architects and designers – this is one of the mandatory criteria for the company’s readiness to go on a trade mission.

Your company can participate in the selection if it meets the following criteria:

• An active member of UAFM.
• A representative of a small/medium-sized business that works in the segment of manufacturing furniture to order.
• Has experience in furnishing projects to order in Ukraine (hotels, restaurants, public places, apartments, etc.).
• Delegates an English-speaking employee of the company to participate in the trade mission and conduct all communication before and after it (or will provide the work of a translator during the trade mission).
• The company has export experience  or export capacity
• The company has production facilities in Ukraine for the implementation of projects.
• The company has a price list/catalog/presentation/website in English.
• The company has/or is in the process of obtaining the appropriate certification for exporting furniture to Great Britain.
• The company has an understanding of the construction of logistics and installation of its products in Great Britain and can assure the buyer of the ability to implement the order.
• The company independently, after training on a special course, looks for three potential customers for its product and invites them to B2B as part of a trade mission.

! When selecting participants, priority will be given to companies that have suffered from military actions, have been relocated, and are in the process of restoring their production. Priority will also be given to companies working in the creative industries segment and companies with 50% women among employees.
