🌳 The woodworking and furniture industry remains one of the key drivers of Zakarpattia’s economy. At the same time, the shortage of skilled machine operators and CNC operators is a challenge well known to most furniture manufacturers in the region.

That is why the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration is actively supporting the government initiative to modernize vocational workshops. UAH 5.89 million invested in the training and practice center of Mukachevo Professional Polytechnic College is a real step toward ensuring that graduates arrive at production facilities already ready to work with modern industrial-grade equipment.

During a visit to the Engineering Center training facility, Member of Parliament Myroslav Biletskyi inspected new equipment from Ukrainian machine-building company Vector™, purchased with state subsidy funds: a lathe machining center, a vertical milling center, and a compressor unit.

“Now students will learn not on outdated models, but on equipment that industry leaders are already using today”

said Myroslav Biletskyi.

This is especially important for Zakarpattia’s actively growing furniture manufacturing sector. The new equipment allows students to gain hands-on experience with machines used to produce furniture hardware and décor — metal legs, handles, connecting elements, and designer inserts — as well as precise machining of cast iron and steel components for industrial and loft-style furniture, where high precision fit is essential.
