Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant for the furniture maker, read in our digest:

1. The Ministry of Infrastructure has received and transferred 4,711 permits from the Republic of Poland and 4,600 transit permits from the Republic of Slovenia to Ukrainian carriers.

It is noted that the Ministry also sent an additional request to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a request to exchange additional permits.

It is also noted that there is a preliminary agreement to hold a meeting of the Joint Commission on International Road Transport with Hungary, and several specific dates for similar meetings with the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Turkey are being considered.

2. Turkey may exclude Ukraine from the list of countries to which additional duties apply. President Erdogan said in a conversation with the Ukrainian president that he would immediately instruct to work on this issue with the relevant agencies.

In April-June this year alone, additional customs rates were applied to more than 1,400 items.

3. Following the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding between Ukraine and the European Union in the framework of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine up to 1.2 billion euros, Ukraine undertook to conduct competitive selection for positions of heads of State Tax and Customs a bill to establish a new agency to investigate serious economic and financial crimes.

4. Spanish designers from the studio “MUT Design” came up with light and unusual chairs with rollers instead of seats and backs. The designers’ attention was drawn to the shape of the press exercise machines, and they decided to replace the standard flat seats and chair backs with soft rollers. The design of the Roll Chair is simple: it consists of a metal frame in the shape of the letter X and two leather rollers. The design of the chair assumes that you can sit on it both in the traditional position and “back to front”, resting your elbows on the upper roller.

5. During self-isolation, many realized the value of four-legged friends. Therefore, to strengthen this connection between dogs and humans, the London Cultural Center “Japan House” has planned an exhibition to which you can “invite” your pet. The exhibition includes 16 specially designed architectural and furniture elements for different breeds of dogs: beagle, bichon frize, poodle and others.

The exhibition will open on September 19 and will last for 18 weeks. As part of the project, the organizers will also make 3D tours, online conversations and guided tours.
