Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant to the furniture maker, read in our digest:

1. The government believes that an effective step of Ukraine towards the implementation of European living standards will be the mandatory use from January 1, 2021, of registrars of settlement operations (RRO).

The first important positive of the new fiscal policy is seen in the fact that the RRO will provide government agencies with an effective mechanism to control imports into Ukraine under the gray schemes of excisable goods and all opportunities to stop outright smuggling.

Secondly, it is a new level of consumer protection. If the buyer has purchased the product, the PPO system will save an electronic check-in to the database. And if the equipment or other products fail, the buyer will not need to turn everything upside down in search of a paper check.

2. In 10 months, through a single transport portal of electronic services e-transport.gov.ua, entrepreneurs have ordered half a million permits for international transportation of goods. This was announced by Minister of Infrastructure Vladislav Krykliy.

He reminded that through a single transport portal of electronic services you can:

  • order a permit for international cargo transportation;
  • get access to the industry document management system DocsET;
  • access online broadcasts from licensing points;
  • in the future to apply for flights of unmanned aerial vehicles.

3. The pilot module for planning measures of state supervision (control) and collecting information for the launch of an integrated automated system of state supervision (control) – https://inspections.gov.ua – formed a draft plan for comprehensive measures of state supervision (control) for 2021.

The draft plan can be found on the Pilot Module website. It is worth doing this also because during the software upgrade, which was used to generate a draft plan for the implementation of comprehensive measures of state supervision (control) for 2021, a technical error was detected, due to which the draft plan partially omitted information about the start dates of state measures. supervision (control), which fell on holidays and postponed weekends. A technical error has now been fixed.

4. Production of street furniture from recycled plastic bags and sand (in a newsletter from October 5, we wrote that this eco-idea is being implemented in Kostroma, Russia) is being launched in Kyiv as well. The metropolitan educational platform on urban planning is organizing a series of working sessions on urban design as part of the new educational season “Ecological Echo”. For three to four weeks, a team of eight students, along with the Kyiv community, will produce outdoor furniture using recycled plastic. The curators of this project will be architects-designers Mykhailo Shevchenko and Anastasia Kondratieva.

The workshop is supported by organizations and companies: “Ukraine without garbage”, “Agents of change”, The Good Plastic Company, Urban Space 500 Art space “Wings”, as well as We.city App, Holabuda, and Terrain vague sustainable design lab.

5. The Italian Association of Manufacturers of Woodworking Equipment and Tools Acimall published a report for July-September, which shows that the volume of orders for the supply of equipment and tools for the woodworking and furniture industry shows an upward trend, indicating a partial improvement in the economic situation in the country. compared to the previous quarter, which was strongly affected by coronavirus lockdown. The industry has identified countermeasures that need to be further implemented in a context where the role of digital communication tools to support business is becoming increasingly important. Webinars and online demonstrations help engineering companies maintain business relationships in global markets, proving to customers that they are competitive. Digital tools began to be actively used in the domestic market.
