1. Parliament Speaker Dmitry Razumkov signed a number of laws to help entrepreneurs during the quarantine.
These are the laws:
“On social support of insured persons and business entities for the period of implementation of restrictive anti-epidemic measures introduced to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by coronavirus SARS-Co V-2” (Bill № 4429);
“On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Other Laws of Ukraine on Social Support of Taxpayers for the Period of Restrictive Anti-Epidemic Measures Introduced to Prevent the Spread of Acute Respiratory Disease COVID-19 Caused by SARS-Co V-2 Coronavirus in Ukraine” (Bill № 4430);
“On Amendments to Article 28 of the Law of Ukraine” On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020 “(Bill № 4431).
2. The Prime Minister also explained how employees who lost part of their salaries due to the increase of quarantine restrictions, and individual entrepreneurs who lost part of their income due to the ban on the full operation, receive a one-time eight thousand state financial assistance.
“We need to take three simple steps. First: go to the only state web portal of electronic services, better known as “Action”, or install this mobile application. Second: on this portal, or in the application to pass identification by means of banking-ID. Third: fill in the bank account number and wait for the expected payment. “
3. From next year – literally from January 1 – there will be a free trade zone between Ukraine and Great Britain. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

5. Speaking at a webinar organized by the UK Timber Federation, Maria Kiefer-Poltz, vice-president of the European Forestry Organization (EOS), suggested that hardwood lumber production in EOS member states could fall by 25% this year to around 4%. 10 million cubic meters. However, next year the figure may increase by about 20% to 4.79 million cubic meters.
Significant reductions in hardwood lumber production are forecast in all three major European producer countries, which together account for more than three-quarters of total EOS production: in France, where production is expected to fall by 15%, and in Germany, where a 20% decline is forecast. %, in Romania, where the expected decline will reach 44%.
