Such a non-core member of the Association is needed

The Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers sometimes accepts companies that are not directly related to furniture in its industry community. And these are by no means any exceptions. Who does not understand – why, let’s explain: they still have an indirect relationship, providing furniture with various services. But the company “DALET BROK” and among non-core members occupies a special place in UAFM: its founder Pavlo Pisnoy for the second term in a row heads the Association Platform for lobbying the interests of furniture makers – and in this guise for many furniture companies, members of UAFM, has repeatedly proved itself.

Communicating with Pavlo Yakovlevich in the context of the column “UAFM in the faces”, we, of course, first of all, talked about his company, which as a service provider specializes in providing a full range of transport and logistics, customs and financial services that promote international trade.

– My higher education, acquired competencies and previous experience logically led me to create a group of companies DalethGroup (one of which is a member of UAFM), which will make the route of delivery of goods, the most optimal in terms of costs and in terms of their safety and delivery times; which already has such experience in the field of customs clearance and international logistics to offer a non-standard scheme of execution of customer orders; which provides for both customs clearance at domestic customs and checkpoints in Ukraine and delivery of goods from around the world by various modes of transport. The complexity of service provision and competence in the field of customs and international trade legislation gives us the opportunity to meet the current business needs of our partners. 

Constantly developing and improving in its competencies, our group of companies, now having its own logistics warehouses in the European Union, provides customs brokerage services outside Ukraine.

DalethGroup has been the official logistics operator of the Ukrainian Furniture Association for five years. This is evidenced by the signed memorandum of cooperation.

   – Does it impose any additional responsibilities on you, does it require the use of any additional or broader competencies?

– We can make an analysis of its logistics and technological schemes for a furniture company in order to further improve it by building optimal export strategies and export management. In addition, we can undertake on behalf of the client to purchase goods for him abroad with all the necessary customs and transport hassles. And vice versa – in Ukraine for his foreign partners. Most often, furniture makers buy abroad, of course, equipment, materials and components for furniture production, and sell, of course, furniture. That is, we act as a mediator. The purchase is carried out by our company, which operates abroad, brings the purchased to Ukraine, and the client pays with it for the goods purchased for him, and for the whole range of services provided by him.

And yet, especially for furniture makers, we really have an additional service: when importing equipment purchased abroad, we give a two- or three-year instalment for customs payment of VAT. In other words, our company will pay the full amount of customs tax, and the client will pay us in instalments.

But that’s not all. DalethGroup includes an insurance company that develops furniture for furniture and offers them a range of insurance services. Moreover, the company analyzes foreign markets free of charge for furniture makers, prepares information about their features, volumes and specifics of furniture imports, with which it periodically acquaints furniture makers at UAFM corporate meetings.

There are no special requirements for transportation and customs clearance of cargoes of furniture makers. In any case, you need to thoroughly study the nature and specifics of the cargo, its volume and dimensions, to choose a reliable and safe packaging and choose the type of transportation that best suits him and takes into account the geography of its delivery.

Must say that DalethGroup provides these services not only to members of UAFM, but to furniture makers in general. He is a member of several industry associations. Moreover, the volume of services provided to furniture makers is not dominant for Pavlo Pisnoy’s group of companies. But it so happened that it was with the furniture makers of Pavlo Yakovlevich business relations have long passed not only in partnership but also in friendship. And the fact that for the second time he headed the Platform for lobbying the interests of furniture makers in the structure of UAFM (by the way, also performs this troublesome work for free), shows that he has a special attitude to the Furniture Association. That is why in his group of companies there are some special offers for furnituremakers (such as instalment payment of customs VAT), and some services are provided on preferential terms. And something for the Association and furniture makers, as you already know, is done for free.

     – How did your close relationship with UAFM start? Who found whom and offered mutually beneficial cooperation?

– For a long time, our partner was and is a group of companies “TopMebli” Andriy Kolesnyk. We can say that he brought me to the Furniture Association. And the first important thing that we did together with UAFM was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with customs. Unfortunately, the leadership of the customs changed, and that memorandum expired. It is not yet possible to sign a new one due to frequent changes in the heads of Ukrainian customs, but we do not abandon our intentions to do so.
