1. The President of Ukraine officially presented Odesa as a candidate for holding the international exhibition “Expo-2030”. He noted that multinational and multicultural Odesa is best suited for holding this exhibition. The cost of implementing the concept called “Renaissance. Technologies. The future” is 1 million 300 thousand euros.
2. Harassment, psychological pressure, or other manifestations of overt or covert aggression in labor groups (i.e. mobbing) are now prohibited. Both the colleagues of the oppressed employee and the management will be punished if they resort to such actions. The Verkhovna Rada adopted the corresponding draft law.
3. The Ukrainian business, faced with the need for relocation, received logistical support in the transportation of production facilities from “Ukrzaliznytsia”, “Ukrposhta”, and the State Property Fund, which organizes the search for premises for resettled enterprises and provides benefits for renting premises in a new location. It has already been possible to transport 772 enterprises from dangerous regions.
4. All structures in Ukraine are trying to make a plan in case of a blackout lasting up to 5-10 days. Banks are no exception. Some are already operating within their own “anti-crisis protocols.” They envisage, in particular, the provision of the maximum range of services, the creation of reserve offices, and an increase in the limit of cash withdrawals from ATMs – from 20 to 50 thousand.

Thanks to the introduction of the market coupling mechanism with the European Union, Ukrainian business has a chance to buy electricity cheaper on the European energy market. It is realistic to launch market coupling in the test mode in the II quarter of 2023.
7. The French company “Neo-Eco” will build a factory of plant-based building materials in Ukraine. The wall blocks will be made of wood and compressed straw. There is an idea to make such production mobile so that the equipment can be conveniently moved from one construction site to another.

9. The Center for Advanced Structures and Composites at the University of Maine in the US has created the first 3D-printed house made entirely of biomaterials. Its floor, walls, and roof are made of wood fibers and resins, while typically 3D-printed houses are made of clay or concrete.

11. An investigation was published in Europe, which caused an international discussion. Its essence: former subcontractors of the “IKEA” concern use forced labor in the colonies of Belarus, where political prisoners are kept. The Belarusian penitentiary service is said to be the largest timber processing company in the country, employing eight thousand forced laborers.
