Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant for the furniture designer, read in our digest:

1. The hope of Ukrainian exporters of products to the United States is that the United States will restrict the import of Chinese goods as a result of the trade war between these countries, and therefore more “space” in the US market will be for other exporters, including Ukrainian ones, for now. The US will not raise tariffs on Chinese goods from October 15, as previously planned. US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin said this following the final day of US-China talks in Washington. “As long as we are dealing with paper issues, we will not raise as planned customs duties on Chinese goods from 25% to 30% next week,” the minister said in the White House’s Oval Office.

2. The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Dmytro Dubilet has announced the beginning of work on the abolition of compulsory employment records.
Citizens will not be obliged to provide their employer with a work record when hiring. Accordingly, employers do not need to check or store it. In the electronic registers of the state the data on the work experience of all Ukrainians since 2000 is already available. These data are already used to calculate pensions or other social benefits.
Citizens will be able to easily obtain an electronic document with information about their experience on the Internet. They can provide this document to the employer if it is therefore important to check the applicant’s work experience from official registers. To receive this document, the citizen will need to make a few clicks and use the digital signature (EDS). Employers will be able to verify the authenticity of a document using a QR code that will automatically overlay these documents.
For those who have up to 2000 years of experience, it will be possible to enter this information into the electronic registry – either alone or through an employer. Then it is not necessary to keep the workbook as a medium of information.
The government will not ban the employment records. You will also be able to ask your employer to record and stamp it.

High melting point technologies allow the creation of large size and thickness glass elements with different texture and finish. Particularly trendy and stylish looks are colored textured glass. The latest collection presents three models.
The first is a rugged geometric construction with a metal frame, a corrugated glass table top and glass inserts at the bottom. The second one has short legs made of oak. Above is a glass top, made in one of three shades: green, smoky gray or amber. The third model has thin metal legs that support the table top with rounded corners.
