Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and in the world and that is relevant for the furniture manufacturer, read in our digest:
- The Verkhovna Rada is awaiting consideration by the government-drafted Labor Law, which should replace the Labor Code (Labor Code), which has been in force since 1971. Experts believe the controversy is the innovation that an employee should be warned about dismissal, depending on his or her term of service. Such a person, knowing that in three months she will be released, is unlikely to work at full strength or worse – do harm. The possibility of transferring an employee to another place of work without his or her consent is estimated to be very rigid. But a written employment contract is a plus, experts believe, because it lists the rights and obligations of the parties. Among the positives of the bill is the regulation of actually existing practice of remote work, flexible working hours. This will allow women in the decree, persons with disabilities, freelancers and anyone whose permanent presence at work is optional, such as journalists, programmers and other mental workers, to work fully.
- Parliament approved an amendment to Bill No. 1210, which provides for an increase in the annual marginal income limits for sole proprietorships. According to the amendment, the limits for FOPs of the first, second and third tax groups were raised to 1 million (now 0.3 million), 5 million (now 1.5 million) and 7 million UAH. (now – 5 million) respectively. An almost similar increase in limits, with the exception of the third group (proposed to raise up to UAH 10 million), is enshrined in bill No. 2338, tabled in parliament. It is pending before the Finance Committee.
- Regulatory authorities will check businesses more often this year than in 2019. According to the timetable approved by the State Regulatory Service, the number of comprehensive inspections this year will exceed 32,200. This is almost 2,000 more than planned for 2019. Recall that complex inspections involve the inspection of several inspection bodies. Most inspections will be carried out by the State Emergency Service (44 100 audits), the State Consumer Service (22 400 inspections), the State Labor Service (16 600 inspections), the State Environmental Inspectorate (11 300 inspection measures).
- Swedish home and furniture maker IKEA has launched a new Wardrobe advertisement about how spacious the PAX wardrobe is. According to the story of the movie, the brand closet contains a whole fairy tale country. The heroine of the video is a little girl who accidentally discovers an entire fairytale country hidden in her closet. She opens the door and gets into a fairy tale. Here clothes, arranged in color, each item in its place, the drawers are put themselves, opening the eyes fabulously beautiful things. “When you have wardrobe furniture that has all your belongings nicely sorted and placed very comfortably, it seems like a miracle. Something like a fairy tale. This idea made us put the imaginary world in the wardrobe as if it were a children’s book, ”said Lena Dukic, brand manager of the Canadian IKEA representative office.
- There will be more organic design. More “modest” elementary materials: plywood, concrete, corks, rattan, clay and jute. There is no need to neglect the raw material. A rustic country style that is well contrasted with technological gadgets and laptops will be welcomed. Fashion comes with “naive” design: simple in form, but with a deep philosophy. Minimalism is focused on making the interior simple and clear, and maximalism is its exact opposite. The casual luxury of honor today is a soft minimalism enriched with unusual objects. Sculptural elements with layers of textures and materials that are finely executed also contribute to the development of this type of aesthetics.
