Read everything that happened last week in Ukraine and around the world and that is relevant and interesting for the furniture maker in our digest:
1. The draft Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine“ On Collection and Accounting of the Single Contribution for Compulsory State Social Insurance ”has been published.
The bill provides for:
- establishment for the heads of enterprises, institutions, organizations of the minimum size of the single contribution at the rate of three sizes of the minimum wage;
- establishing an obligation to pay a single contribution on general grounds for persons with disabilities whose wages (income) exceed three times the minimum wage, while maintaining the preferential amount of a single contribution for persons with disabilities (8.41%, 5.5 %, 5.3%) up to three times the minimum wage.
2. As social media increasingly penetrates our lives and businesses, competition for organic audience coverage has become a challenge for many online marketers and companies. They are designed to support an irreplaceable token, which is a unique certificate of ownership of an image, multimedia object, GIF or video on the Internet, known by the acronym NFT. NFTs give creators and business owners another opportunity to build a community with their audience. The enormous potential of these tokens is already prompting diversified companies to look for ways to incorporate NFT into their brands.
3. Single taxpayers have the right to apply the simplified taxation system provided that the amount of income established for the relevant group of single taxpayers is not exceeded during the calendar year. In 2022, the amount of income of FOP should not exceed:
- for the first group – UAH 1085,500;
- for the second group – UAH 54,221,000;
- for the third group of sole proprietors and legal entities – UAH 75,85,500.
At the same time, in case of exceeding these amounts, such payers are obliged to apply the single tax rate of 15% to the amount of the excess.
4. Extravagant rapper Tommy Cash made a photoshoot on an equally extravagant sofa “from loaves of bread”.
However, the sofa is real. This is a project by Montreal artist Gab Bois. In her surreal fantasy works, ordinary objects are presented in a way completely uncharacteristic of ordinary understanding.
By the way, the shape of the sofa is not new. It even has a long-patented name Loafa. The “grandfather” of the “bread” sofa is the famous Camaleonda model, created by designer Mario Bellini for “B&B Italia” in 1970. The blown sofa was an event in the history of design, influenced the development of furniture ideas for decades. In 2020, in honour of the 50th anniversary of the famous model, the brand relaunched the famous product.
5. Norwegian furniture company “Eikund” has added to its range, releasing the iconic chair for the history of Scandinavian design. This is a model of Fluffy (translated from English – fluffy) Fredrik A. Kaiser. This furniture designer was famous for his chairs and armchairs.
The main feature of the product is a characteristic functional and attractive long-haired coating of Norwegian sheepskin. Another bright detail – solid wood armrests, located at an angle. In Fluffy, the author not only skillfully invested in the main trends of the mid-20th century but also realized his own vision of elegance with a special sense of proportion and composition.
