Read about what happened last week in Ukraine and the world, and what is relevant and interesting for the furniture expert, in our digest:

1. The government submitted a draft law on innovation parks to the Verkhovna Rada considering that one of the key reasons for the lack of competitiveness of domestic products on the world market is its low innovativeness. Innovation parks are expected to become the growth points and research infrastructure from which high-tech solutions will spread into mass production. During the implementation of this plan, at least 850 projects will be implemented in various spheres of the country’s life. Furniture, of course, should not be left out of this project.

2. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, together with the State Property Fund, completed the development of a methodology for determining losses caused to enterprises as a result of Russian aggression. These are immovable and movable property, objects of unfinished construction, vehicles, inventories, etc., destroyed or damaged as a result of hostilities; lost benefits that the enterprise did not receive due to the impossibility of continuing operations;
the number of expenses necessary for the restoration of property and property rights, which have suffered a devastating impact as a result of armed aggression. It is noted that entrepreneurs will need to prepare a package of documents to confirm the fact of destruction of objects as a result of military aggression.

3. Taking into account the needs of business, the National Bank simplifies currency restrictions, in particular regarding the use of corporate payment cards.

The National Bank allowed banks to sell foreign currency to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who are residents of Ukraine, with a credit to the client’s current account in foreign currency for further use of the corresponding currency to make expenses using corporate payment cards abroad. In particular, the following expenses:

for the travel of employees abroad exclusively for the payment of daily expenses within the daily limit of 80 euros (equivalent) per employee; for accommodation and transportation expenses (with documentary confirmation of the calculation of the specified expenses per person).

4. RAUVISIO noir is material for covering furniture facades with a super-matte surface from the REHAU brand, which emphasizes modern trends in furniture design and interior design.

The slight reflection of light, even at a small angle of incidence, guarantees unusual matte optics, and the colours vary from bright white to dark blue, from muted green to rich black. Thanks to the coating that protects against fingerprints and is pleasant to the touch, the material is easy to use and does not require complex maintenance. In terms of quality, the new furniture surfaces also meet the highest standards: they are resistant to heat, moisture, scratches and impacts, and the material itself does not promote the growth of bacteria.

5. The company “Häfele” offers kitchen manufacturers a universal garbage sorting system Unico, which will be an ideal option for placement under the sink. The product is functional not only in terms of flexible configuration but also in keeping it clean. Containers with a content of 7 and 15 litres inserted into the cartridge are based on bodies with a width of 450 to 1200 mm. Each container has a lid and a folding handle, which allows you to avoid unpleasant odours and quickly and easily remove the containers from the large drawer.
