The exhibition of 15 Ukrainian furniture factories was visited by guests from Germany, Poland, Romania, Moldova, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, the USA, the UAE, Israel and other countries. Please refer to the link for more detailed information.

2. In connection with the entry into force of the order of the Ministry of Finance No. 220 “On approval of the Procedure for writing off bad tax debt of taxpayers”, a new procedure for writing off a bad tax debt is in effect.

The effect of this order applies to natural persons (residents and non-residents), legal entities (residents and non-residents) and their separate subdivisions) that are the object of taxation and are obliged to pay taxes and fees.

3. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine calls on businesses to step up their work.

“We appeal to all commercial organizations and enterprises to continue working in Ukraine. Providing jobs and adapting the economic activity to security requirements is the contribution to the future of Ukraine that every entrepreneur can make.”

4. As of September 25, businesses submitted 1,846 applications for relocation to safer regions of Ukraine. 745 of them have already relocated to another region, and 558 have managed to resume work. More than 200 companies moved to the Lviv region alone.

5. Almost half of the member companies of the European Business Association predict positive dynamics of their business development in the coming year. At the same time, forecasts of top managers worsened compared to last year — from 83% to 47%.
Last year, more than half of the companies planned to expand their staff. This year, only one out of five top managers plan to hire new people in 2023.

6. Payment of sick leave in Ukraine will be made through the banking system in the form of electronic payments, and the State Insurance Fund will be liquidated. It is expected that the system will be launched as early as January 1, 2023. The practice of “digitalizing” the pension accounting system met all expectations. Currently, this practice will be scaled to other areas of state administration.

7. Due to the significant increase in the cost of electricity, many foreign furniture manufacturers have begun to invest in their own photovoltaic generating units. Over the past two years, there has been a sharp increase in the implementation of local photovoltaic installations with a capacity from 50 kW to 1-2 MW.

8. A graduate of the EDS European School of Design, Masha Halyaga designed a furniture collection that is planned to be implemented by the UAFM member company, JOSEPH Furniture Manufacturer. Oksana Donska, a member of the Board of the UAFM, who participated in the evaluation of theses, predicted the collection would be sold in Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and other countries. We congratulate the student with a diploma with honours and wish her further success in realizing her creative potential.

9. To the visitors of the recent Poznań exhibition “DREMA”, the Austrian machine tool company “FELDER” demonstrated its new product – the compact edge numbering machine G 263. The components and units of the G series numbering machines, which have been proven over the years, are harmoniously integrated into a new attractive design.

10. In line with its sustainability strategy, well-known paint manufacturer Hesse Lignal has announced that it will replace all solvent-based products with greener alternatives by 2030. In addition, Hesse Lignal will increasingly use renewable resources in the future.

10. It is a fairly common practice when popular people in the country, so-called opinion leaders, are used to advertise goods and services. In particular, furniture. In some foreign countries – due to the fact that sometimes some manufacturers thereby mislead both the influencer himself and the people who listen to his opinion – they decided that an entrepreneur who uses content published by influencers in his marketing activities should be responsible for this content, as well as influencers.
