1. In the Ukrainian Parliament, bill #9665 has been registered to enhance the fight against illegal logging and improve measures against the illegal timber trade. The proposed changes aim to refine the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses regarding violations of logging regulations.

2. According to Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the Ukrainian Parliament is unlikely to pass government bill #10016, which aims to lift the moratorium on tax audits of businesses, by the end of September. Consequently, it won’t take effect on October 1 as planned. Passing the bill before November is deemed unrealistic.

3. Under the government grant program for processing enterprises called “New Level,” 47 entrepreneurs can receive grants of up to 8 million UAH for business development. A mandatory requirement for grant recipients is the creation of up to 25 new jobs. (biz.ligazakon.net/news)

4. Another grant program, “Power Up!” offers grants of up to 1 million UAH for purchasing energy-efficient equipment to entrepreneurs in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions affected by the full-scale war. It is expected that the 10 selected companies will collectively save no less than 3,000 MWh/year.

5, The main exhibition of Ukraine’s forestry and woodworking industries, “LISDEREVMASH,” will return this autumn. It will take place from September 26 to 28.
