Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant for the furniture maker, read in our digest:

1. With a four-month delay, the President of Ukraine nevertheless signed the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine to Improve Tax Administration, Eliminate Technical and Logical Inconsistencies in Tax Legislation.” The document caused a lot of criticism from businesses long before the vote. Employers have repeatedly appealed to deputies not to allow the adoption of this law, and to the President – to use the veto.

According to them, the law creates many preconditions for corruption, tax inequality and worsens the conditions for doing business – from complicating and increasing paperwork to removing from the Tax Code rules that encourage the processing of raw materials in the country.

The Federation of Employers stated that the law significantly expands the rights and powers of tax authorities, introduces unjustified benefits and preferences for certain categories of taxpayers, complicates the tax administration procedure, legitimizes additional pressure on legal business and significantly worsens the investment climate in Ukraine.

2. At the same time, the President signed the Law “On Collection and Accounting of the Single Contribution for Compulsory State Social Insurance”, which allows natural persons-entrepreneurs not to pay the minimum single social contribution for the months when they did not receive income.

Entrepreneurs who carry out independent professional activity were also exempted from paying the tax, provided that they were registered as sole proprietors and carried out one type of activity.

3. Russian Railways Logistics organized the first in Russia test transit transportation of sanctioned cargoes using electronic seals in covered wagons. The wagon with household goods was sent from Kuryazh station (Kharkiv region) to Alma-Ata I station (Kazakhstan). At one time, these goods used two rail ferries through Georgia and Azerbaijan. Delivery through Russia is cheaper by 15-20%, the company’s corporate communications service said with reference to the General Director of JSC “Russian Railways Logistics” Dmitry Murev.

4. “The miracle of the fifth morning. How to conquer your day before breakfast “- the title of Jeff Sanders’ motivational book, published in Ukraine.

One habit can change your life and help you move forward in achieving your goals. For the author of this book, such a habit has become the ability to wake up early spontaneously. This rise has many benefits: from increased productivity to a sense of calm and balance in the morning. And the most pleasant thing is that you don’t have to jump at five! You can choose a comfortable time for you.

Sanders offers a number of proven techniques to organize life and fill the days with meaning, as well as step-by-step instructions on how to plan the perfect morning. This book will teach you to get enough sleep, get out of bed and use the rest of the time efficiently.

5. The global furniture community is currently busy with urgent business rescue measures. All the attention of companies is on internal processes. Owners and management are busy with personnel, management audit, redistribution of financial flows, creation of post-quarantine logistics, and marketing is thrown on communications and the organization of online sales. In turbulent times of the market, it is more important than ever to predict buying behaviour. Specifics for analysis are still few, but you can identify macro trends now.

One of them: narrow marketing targeting (ie Internet advertising technology that helps reduce the cost of the advertiser to attract the target audience to the advertised object) and the need to broadcast the image of a friendly company that understands its customers and is close to them in spirit. In other words, companies that will become good advisers, assistants and suppliers who will acquire the status of “their own” will have success for producers and services.
