1. The business now has an additional trump card in appealing the results of the search. The Supreme Court of Ukraine ruled that the search evidence was inadmissible if the relevant ruling did not specify the operatives who conducted the search. In addition, lawyers recommend that businesses file a complaint with the Council of the Business Ombudsman after clearly illegal searches of enterprises in those criminal proceedings in which no one was suspected for a long time.

2. The Conductors of Change Forum, initiated by Deloitte, is currently being held online due to quarantine restrictions. The main focus of the discussion was on what will help states and businesses to withstand the global crisis and where to find new ideas for development and growth, despite the long uncertainty.

As for advice, it was suggested to change and develop so as not to become outsiders. The analog world has become fragile, so the stakes are on digital technology. The digitalization of business processes today is simply necessary for the proper functioning of enterprises.

These are the three steps that a medium-sized business must take to withstand a period of uncertainty: accept reality and look at it critically; solve people’s problems with your product and go the way of small experiments. Five out of ten attempts may fail. Or even nine. Or all ten. And you have to start all over again. But not to try means to lose.

3. A bill has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada proposing to postpone the mandatory use of registrars of settlement operations (RRO) for small and medium-sized businesses until 2022.

It is noted that this decision is due to the fact that in the context of the coronavirus pandemic in the world began a recession. “So, in order to benefit the national economy, it is necessary to support small and medium-sized businesses in the first place,” the authors of the bill emphasize.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada decided to postpone until January 1, 2022, the use of cash registers for individual entrepreneurs in the simplified taxation system.

4. The countries with the highest consumption of wooden bedroom furniture last year were France (14 million), Great Britain (11 million), and Germany (10 million). Together, this is 56% of total EU consumption. Spain, Lithuania, Poland, the Netherlands, Romania, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Denmark lag slightly behind in the consumption of such furniture. Their total volume is 32%.

5. After intensive reflection and discussion, as well as the current development of global morbidity due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the organizers of the exhibition “LIGNA – 21” announced the transfer of the exhibition from May to September 27 to October 1 next year.

Member of the Board of Deutsche Messe Andreas Gruhov notes that the decision to postpone the exhibition is very difficult, but it is the only right decision to provide everyone involved in the planning of the exhibition, safety, and the necessary time for preparation.

In September, the LIGNA-21 exhibition will be held for the first time as a hybrid event, which will emphasize its function as a leading industry event and present a global range of tools, machines, and equipment for primary and secondary woodworking.
