Keep tax records
The International Association of Shopping Centers is already represented in Ukraine
Furniture manufacturers are pleased with the intensification of the construction industry
Ukrainian designers visited the British meter
IKEA has restricted the use of Russian pine

Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant for the furniture maker, read in our digest:

1. The State Tax Service reminds sole proprietors of the single tax that the moratorium on inspections has been lifted. During inspections, it is established that taxpayers exceed the amount of income that allows them to be on the simplified system of taxation of accounting and reporting. As a result, based on the results of documentary inspections, taxpayers are transferred to the general taxation system and excluded from the register of single taxpayers.

Unfortunately, most “simplified” do not keep tax records, do not keep primary documents, so in the case of transfer of the single taxpayer to the general taxation system, there is no possibility to reduce taxable income by the amount of documented expenses related to income. As a result, based on the results of inspections, significant amounts of taxes and fees are added.

2. The first office of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) has opened in Ukraine, which will increase the attraction of foreign investment and promote the development of Ukrainian business. In addition, a website of the Kyiv office will be created, where Ukrainian entrepreneurs will be able to join the cooperation with the association and receive investments for development. This will facilitate communication between businesses, reduce bureaucratization.

Of course, among the entrepreneurs who want to communicate with the WTCA, there will be furniture makers who have long and actively used shopping malls to sell their products. Inter-social contacts would not be superfluous.

3. For more than a year now, furniture makers do not care about the state of the construction industry, because more and more often developers and furniture makers are entering into partnerships. So, there is comforting news:

in the second half of the year, housing construction will become even more active. According to the results of the first six months of the first half of the year, the volume of housing construction showed an increase of 16.4% at once – up to UAH 16.2 billion. The sector has become a leader in the industry. But non-residential construction fell by 4.9% to UAH 20 billion. The volume of construction of engineering structures decreased by 2.8% to UAH 40.6 billion.

What is the reason for this situation? Developers of “residential squares” are helped by the demand postponed since last year, the lack of profitable investment instruments and general inflation, which further motivates them to invest in housing.

4. In early August, participants in the Design Talk, organized by the Association of British and International Design in Ukraine (SBID Ukraine), had the exclusive opportunity to visit the famous designer and founder of the brand of the same name Lee Broome. The Briton joined the conversation via video link from his penthouse in New York, the interior of which he arranged and styled remotely from London during the lockdown.

During the online room tour, Lee Broome showed and talked in detail about the objects and elements he used in the interior and what inspired him during its creation. The designer also shared his emotions and impressions from working on his own apartment, noting that over the years he was very pleased to return to the world of interior design.

5. The research organization Earthsight has published a report claiming that the pine used in the production of children’s furniture IKEA Sundvik, from illegally felled protected Russian forests. Following the investigation, Swedish furniture makers said they had temporarily stopped using timber harvested in Siberia and the Far East during sanitary felling.
