  • The government stimulates exports
  • Among the new professions are those that will be useful to any business
  • “Industrial visa-free travel” for neighbouring countries
  • For partners not to become competitors
  • The era of transformers

Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant for the furniture maker, read in our digest:

1. The government plans to allocate 1.8 billion hryvnias to support Ukrainian exports, which have played an important role in economic recovery. According to the Prime Minister, it has grown by 31% or $ 7 billion in six months. “The government supports domestic companies that are dominating foreign markets, and we believe that such support should be expanded. That is why they decided to increase the authorized capital of the Export Credit Agency by 1.8 billion hryvnias. ”

2. In Ukraine, another change to the Classifier of Occupations will be approved soon. 84 new and updated job titles will be introduced. At the proposal of the Administration of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, 17 professions of cybersecurity and information protection professions will be included in the Classifier of Professions, in particular, “Security Threat Analyst”, “Information and Telecommunications Systems Security Analyst”, “Cryptographic Information Security Specialist” etc.

3. The signing of an agreement on “industrial visa-free travel” between Ukraine and Poland is being prepared, which will open much wider horizons of the European market for our country. And Europeans have better access to quality Ukrainian products. Under such circumstances, we would be able to circumvent all technical and bureaucratic obstacles and restrictions in bilateral trade.

4. Large developers are starting to invest in IT and due to this began to change their business models. Their goal is not just to make money on concrete boxes “for finishing”, but to include all related services and goods that people buy for housing in their product. Many of them will sell turnkey housing in a couple of years – with repairs, kitchens, furniture, and even appliances. In this way, they can move from furniture partners to competitors’ status because some of them will seek to establish their own furniture production. Therefore, furniture makers need to make an effort to make it more profitable for developers to have their partners rather than competitors.

5. Ease of transformation and versatility – a feature of furniture that meets the spirit of modernity. To the delight of owners of small homes, modern trends in the furniture world allow you to combine convenience and small size of the furniture. The fashion for versatility and compactness is rapidly gaining the favour of the occupants of spacious apartments. A bright representative of the line of transformers was the Sobro table, which was announced on the crowdfunding platform “Indiegogo”. It’s not just a transformer with adjustable leg height and desktop size. This is a real hybrid: a coffee table-transformer with the function of a stereo system and a refrigerator.
