Read everything that happened last week in Ukraine and around the world and that is relevant and interesting for the furniture maker in our digest:

1. Ukraine and Azerbaijan are discussing the possibility of creating a transport corridor, which, in addition to these two countries, will unite Georgia and Moldova. There is a common position that cooperation in the field of international, road and rail transport, as well as in the field of aviation should be intensified in order to develop transit capacity and create the appropriate modern infrastructure.

And for Ukrainian furniture exporters, the creation of such a transit corridor would be useful for increasing exports to Asia.

2. The State Tax Service reported systemic complaints from citizens about the lack of sellers
goods the ability to make payments using payment cards and bank terminals. Entrepreneurs who deny customers payments through the terminal face fines ranging from one hundred to two hundred non-taxable minimum incomes. Repeated violation entails the imposition of a fine of five hundred to one thousand non-taxable minimum incomes (UAH 1,700-3,400).

3. In 2022, new taxes were imposed on entrepreneurs. The single tax rate has become higher due to higher social standards.

As of January 1, 2022, the subsistence level was 2,481 hryvnias, and the minimum wage was 6,500 hryvnias. Thus, this year the monthly tax rates for private entrepreneurs will be as follows: for private entrepreneurs of the first group – no more than 248.10 hryvnias; for private entrepreneurs of the second group – no more than 1300 hryvnias.

In search of the best solutions, the Polish company “Black Red White” has prepared a proposal for fans of simple and functional forms. The small number of decorative elements makes the furniture perfectly adapted to modern interiors, and their extremely functional nature – thanks to numerous shelves – will be especially appreciated by owners of small apartments, “said Robert Solovey, Deputy Director of Marketing and Advertising.

This is a modular Creatio system. Thanks to the universal cases and functionally located fastenings it is possible to equip any interior. The applied solutions allow free adjustment of shelves vertically and horizontally, and also interchangeable use of drawers and facades.

A new type of furniture board was used in the production of the system – a honeycomb board, which is characterized by high strength and stable structure.

5. Stockholm Design Week, organized by Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, which usually takes place from 7 to 13 February, has been postponed to September 6-9 due to the growing number of co-infections in European countries. This data was determined taking into account the dates of other fairs and international events related to design.
