Read everything that happened last week in Ukraine and around the world and that is relevant and interesting for the furniture maker in our digest:

1. The Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine held a peaceful protest near the Polish Embassy in Kyiv. Carriers oppose reducing the quota of international transport permits, because, as stated in the requirements, starting in 2019, the Polish government is gradually reducing the quota of international transport permits for Ukrainian carriers, creating artificial barriers to delivery of Ukrainian goods to the EU. “We demand the return to Ukrainian carriers of the quota of 200,000 permits provided for in the Association Agreement with the EU, ” the protesters said.

2. Individual entrepreneurs in the third group of the single tax will be prohibited from performing the functions of employees in companies under the guise of providing services. This should happen in parallel with the introduction of the planned tax reform for 2023, which provides for the consolidation of payroll taxes and reduces their total effective rate. This position was expressed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Getmantsev.

“We are talking about those who do not want to pay payroll taxes and register their employees as salary Individual entrepreneurs,” the deputy said. 

3. Individual entrepreneurs of groups 1-3 can submit an annual declaration in the mobile application “Diia”.

To submit a declaration, entrepreneurs of groups 1 and 2 need to select the option “Services – Personal Taxes – Declarations” in the “Diia” application, enter the amount of income for the year and contact information. “Diia” will fill in the data on the single tax and the single social contribution, if necessary, they can be edited. The entrepreneur only has to sign the declaration using the service “Diia. Signature”.

Entrepreneurs of the 3rd group of the single tax after selecting the section “Declarations” should enter the amount of income for the fourth quarter: “Diia” will request these declarations for the previous three quarters to the SFS and “pull” the amount of income for nine months.

The amount of tax payable is calculated automatically, as well as data on SSP. As in the case of entrepreneurs of 1-2 groups, the data and amounts in the declaration can be edited, and at the end – to sign the declaration “Diia. Signature”.

4. Architect David Tulstrup teamed up with materials manufacturer Sould to create a new capsule collection of limited series designs, combining glass and steel with a local seaweed called eel. This natural material has been used in construction since the 1600s when the inhabitants of the Danish island of Lesse created thick “straw” bundles for their “seaweed houses”.

The new soundproofing and stable material have already found application in the manufacture of tables, reception desks, podiums, partitions.

The chair consists of four semicircles that rotate to form both the seat and the base; the resulting structure creates a lemniscate curve (or infinity sign), which gives the name of the object.
