Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant for the furniture maker, read in our digest:
1. From 2021, tax inspectors will have the right to impose fines on the so-called “eye” business during inspections, and their opinion will become more important than the official tax document with a seal. This is stated in a letter from the State Tax Service with reference to Law 1210, which entered into force on May 23. The new rules will increase fines. The big business, which used tax “indulgences”, will feel it the hardest.
2. Law №592 On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Collection and Accounting of the Single Contribution for Compulsory State Social Insurance” on Elimination of Discrimination by Payers amends the procedure for writing off arrears, fines and penalties accrued to single contribution payers.
According to paragraph 9 of Law №2464, unpaid amounts of arrears as of January 1, 2021, as well as fines and penalties accrued on these amounts are subject to write-off if the payers of the EU have not received income (profit) from their activities, and subject to a submission within 90 calendar days from the date of entry into force of Law №592:
– payers specified in paragraph 4 of Law №2464 – applications for state registration of termination of business activity and to the controlling body – reporting;
– payers specified in paragraph 5 of Law №2464 – applications for deregistration as a payer of the single contribution and reporting for the period from January 1, 2017, to the date of entry into force of Law №592.
These reports are submitted by the payer only if they have not been submitted before.
3. During the first meeting of the National Reform Council, the head of the Office of Simple Solutions Mikheil Saakashvili stated that peace agreements will be concluded between the state and business, which will allow the state to repay significant amounts of debt instead of criminal proceedings.
This way of resolving the debt issue was supported by the Deposit Guarantee Fund and international financial institutions, in particular, the IMF and the World Bank. The Cabinet of Ministers is currently drafting a bill that will be submitted to parliament in the near future.
4. No, this is not magic or science fiction, but a very real thing. The design studio “Jak Studio” from Great Britain presented a conceptual model of such a sofa, the name of which is L20.
The product consists of several components combined by a transformation mechanism. It is enough to put forward and lift some elements – and the original partition and a desktop are formed. Moreover, the creators provided the product with upholstery with a soundproofing effect. As small bonuses, the authors also added to their project a small table lamp and charging for gadgets. That is, transforming the sofa, you get a cramped, but still separate workspace.
5. Design company Keilhauer presented a collection of coloured furniture made of bent steel. You can buy stools, chairs and tables of different colours.
Chairs can have either wooden seats or filled with foam and upholstered in textile or leather. They are simple but elegant.
This colourful collection will be available in a bright set of 20 standard colours, to which the colour of the year will be added annually. However, customers can make an individual order, choosing the entire version of the decoration of 200 different colours.
The entire collection consists of recycled steel, durable hardwood and bio-based seating foam.
