Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant for the furniture maker, read in our digest:

1. The Cabinet of Ministers approved a bill amending the Tax Code.

“They will increase annual budget revenues by about UAH 60 million. At the same time, we do not raise or plan to raise national taxes for people or businesses. The proposed changes will not affect sole proprietors, small or medium-sized businesses. We are closing the gaps in the tax code that allowed big businesses not to pay taxes in Ukraine, “said Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

In addition, with regard to entrepreneurs and citizens, the bill provides for exemption from personal income tax from state support received not directly from the budget, but from the Fund for Entrepreneurship Development or the Innovation Development Fund (state programs “Affordable Mortgage 7%” and “Affordable Loans 5-7- 9% »).

2. The Cabinet of Ministers also adopted a resolution on the establishment of the Bureau of Economic Security. This institution will receive the status of a central executive body and will deal with all crimes in the economic sphere.

The government assures that this is one of the final steps towards the elimination of the tax policy, this is the end of the time of forceful pressure on business, this is the final end of the “mask show”.         

3. The Tax Code provides benefits for the payment of real estate tax, other than land, in the form of reducing the tax base for the object/objects of residential real estate, including their share, owned by a natural person-taxpayer.

But if individuals actually carry out business activities at the place of tax address (place of registration) and are owners of residential real estate, as indicated in the extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Associations, then when calculating real estate tax, other than land, the benefit will not be applied to such residential real estate objects. With regard to non-residential real estate, regardless of the type of activity specified in the Statement, the benefit in the form of a reduction in the tax base does not apply to them.       

4. 5.
