1. Specialists of the Ministry of Economic Development and Accident “Ukrpromvneshnekspertiza” conducted a study “Ukrainian exports of goods that benefit from the FTA between Ukraine, Canada and the EU.” The analysis was carried out with the support of the CUTIS project. The main goal of the research is to promote the development of Ukrainian exports to Canada, especially in the small and medium business segment.
“The results of the research help to determine the commodity groups of Ukrainian exports, which receive the greatest benefits as a result of the operation of three free trade zones: between Ukraine and the EU, Ukraine and Canada, and also Canada and the EU. Relevant trade agreements allow Ukrainian producers to import raw materials from the EU or Canada and export their products to these markets on preferential terms, without paying duties, ”said Maxim Boroda, senior expert on analysis of trade and investment of the CUTIS project.
The CUTIS project implements a program to support exports to Canada in five priority sectors: the production of clothing, footwear, furniture and confectionery, as well as IT services.

2. On February 21, UNIT.City opened the Academy DTEK innovative business platform. The strategy of the academy provides for increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian business in the direction of global transformation. Innovative approaches to personnel management will be developed using Big Data, the latest technologies and with process automation. Another direction of the Academy will be the integration of international experience.
“Today we are starting a new stage in the development of Academy DTEK. It is becoming an innovative educational business platform, open to representatives of business, the public sector, the public, and international partners,” said Alexander Kucherenko, Director for Sustainable Development of DTEK. Forms of training in Academy DTEK: international conferences, workshops, e-courses in video format, HR Academy, which prepares competitive HR business partners for medium and small businesses in Ukraine.

3. According to the press service of Naftogaz in March 2019, Naftogaz of Ukraine will reduce the price of gas for industrial consumers by 15.1% to UAH 8886 per thousand cubic meters (VAT). This price is relevant for consumers who purchase gas on an advance payment of more than 50 thousand cubic meters. m per month, subject to the absence of debts to the company. For other industrial enterprises, without prepayment, the price will be UAH 9792 per thousand cubic meters (including VAT). This is 14.5% less than in February 2019.

4. From small and medium businesses began to receive more taxes. The simplified system of taxation of individuals and legal entities in Ukraine for the year brought about 25 billion UAH to the budget. “The number of individual entrepreneurs decreased due to the fact that the rule of paying a single social contribution was introduced, even if you do not work,” said Deputy Minister of Finance Sergei Verlanov.

5. Now it’s easier to work with the taxpayer’s electronic office: you can enter from a smartphone for free in real time, around the clock. “Payers can get information about deadlines for paying and submitting tax reports, find out contacts and addresses of payer service centers, view and print tax reporting forms in real time, get information from more than 10 DFS registries,” said Lilia Bulkovska, head of electronic UKRINFORM services and reporting.
