Everything that happened last week in Ukraine and the world and that is relevant and interesting for the furniture maker, read in our digest:

1. We have already reported that small and medium-sized businesses will receive assistance during quarantine restrictions. After the meeting, the President clarified the nature of such assistance.

In particular, benefits should be provided for rent, lending, and payment of utilities. Among other things, these are the representatives of small and medium-sized businesses that comply with all sanitary and epidemiological norms introduced by the government.

The total amount of one-time financial assistance provided last year at UAH 8,000 was UAH 3.85 billion, of which employees received UAH 1.85 billion and individual entrepreneurs received UAH 2 billion.

2. In Ukraine, there is a large-scale inspection of enterprises to identify shadow employment. For each unemployed or incorrectly employed employee, the entrepreneur “shines” a fine of 60 thousand hryvnias (10 minimum wages). And if he is caught again for such a violation, the fine will be tripled immediately – up to 180 thousand hryvnias.

The inspection is carried out by representatives of the tax service together with the State Labor Inspectorate. Shadow workers are sought in a variety of ways, from visual to production estimates, which are compared to the number of officially employed staff. Trade remains the leader in shadow employment and payroll in envelopes.

3. In Ukraine, from December 1, taxes for sole proprietors will increase: both the Single Tax and the Single Social Contribution will be higher. FOPs 1, 2, and 3 groups will pay SRS in the amount of 1430 hryvnias per month.

Entrepreneurs of the first group will pay a single tax of 248 hryvnias per month. For entrepreneurs of the second group, the Single tax will reach 1300 hryvnias per month, and for entrepreneurs of the third group the rate of the Single tax will be equal to 5% of income, or 3% of income + VAT.

4. The Tax Service of Ukraine has begun to impose fines on Ukrainians engaged in business activities during the quarantine period. Experts told Ukrainian FOPs how not to pay illegal fines for the quarantine period, which began to appear in the electronic offices of taxpayers in the section “Status of payments to the budget.”

The head of the accounting and consulting company “WeDoITBM” Elena Matviychuk recommend: if you appear at the bottom of the page in the column “Unapplied penalty” instead of zero amounts to pay fines, apply to the tax with a request to remove the fine in accordance with the Tax Code. This article states that penalties and fines are not accrued during the quarantine period. This is provided for in paragraph 52, approx. 1, subsection 10 of section XX “Transitional Provisions” of the Tax Code.

5. CP PUBLISHING Publishing House has published a new book “INTERIOR DESIGN in Ukraine – 2. Interior solutions in residential premises”. It combines 60 bright interiors created by Ukrainian designers and architects over the past five years.

This is the first full-fledged book about styles and design in modern Ukrainian homes. In the process of creating the publication, the author Lucia Bondar did not try to demonstrate the features of zoning and the functional purpose of all premises. She set herself the task of showing a design idea, style, mood of the room, details of decor, furniture and play with color.
